Three Series, One Question, and Why I Write Conspiracy Thrillers

I get asked this a lot: where should I start?

The honest answer is that it depends on what kind of conspiracy fascinates you. Because I write different flavors of the same obsession.

Every novel starts from the same premise: the institutions we trust, the systems we depend on, the records we take at face value, are hiding something. Not by accident. By design. My protagonists are the people who notice the gaps, refuse to look away, and keep digging until the structure of the cover-up reveals itself.

But the world of each series is different.

The Valkyrie Protocol lives in digital infrastructure. Emilia Cross is a cybersecurity analyst who discovered an eleven-minute blackout that was erased from every official record. That investigation led her into corrupted data signals, hidden servers, and a conspiracy operating in the spaces between the systems we trust with our lives. Two books are out now: The Eleven Minute Void and The Silent Servers. The series is ongoing.

The Archivist's Code lives in physical archives and institutional memory. This series is for readers who love the texture of old files, dusty basements, and secrets buried in paper instead of code. The conspiracy here is generational: hidden by people who assumed that time and bureaucracy would keep it safe forever. They were wrong. Five books. Complete series.

The Ambush Files Saga lives in the world of covert operations. Jack Rourke stumbled into an organization, Black Phoenix, that was never supposed to exist. Dismantling it meant taking on the institutions that built it, burning protocols, and going deeper into a conspiracy that was layered far beyond what anyone realized. Five books. Complete series.

I also write standalone novels for readers who want a single conspiracy thriller without committing to a series. The Cartographer's Lie and others are available on Kindle Unlimited.

All of these stories come from the same belief: the most compelling fiction lives in the questions we're told not to ask. I write because those questions won't leave me alone, and because the readers who find my books seem to feel the same way.

Not sure which series is right for you? I built a quiz for exactly this reason. Thirty seconds, a few questions, and it'll point you to the series that matches your reading taste: https://www.winter-mysteries.com/quiz

Want a free taste before you commit? Two options:

- Download the Classified Files, a spoiler-free sampler from Christie Winter's world: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/rczgba3gjs

- Grab the free Ambush Files prequel novella and meet Jack Rourke firsthand: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/yh980te635

I write conspiracy thrillers. If the truth being hidden is the thing that keeps you reading past midnight, you're in the right place.
